A first-hand account of a brilliant Second World War desert campaign that also offers compelling insight into the violent and volatile nation of Iraq. In a narrative worthy of comparison to that of T.E. Lawrence, de Chair offers a minute-by-minute, mile-by-mile account of the unknown perils and hardships of WWII's mechanized desert war.
