Full title: The Complete Angler, or The Contemplative Man's Recreation, bound with The Practical Fly-Fisher, more particularly for Grayling or Umber with ten plates, coloured by hand, representing 120 flies, natural and artificial.

An illustrated edition of Walton and Cotton's classic on the benefits and joys of angling. This copy has six original etchings, two portraits and seventy four wood engravings. Bound in to the rear of the book of Jackson's Practical Fly-Fisher, a short work but with ten plates of hand-coloured flies.

A fair copy. The boards are rubbed and there is a small puncture and rippling to the spine. The contents are complete but the inner binding is weak with Jackson's work partially disbound and pages loose. Readable with gentle handling but the hand-coloured plates are delightful.
