Printing Details

Hardback, bound in fine full blue leather, with five raised bands, gilt decoration and contrasting leather title label to spine, gilt school crest to upper board and gilt margin to boards. All edges gilt. 19.5 × 14cm, xliv + 628pp.

A fine collection of Wordsworth's poems, including juvenile poems, poems of the fancy, poems of the imagination, sonnets etc. This edition illustrated with a frontispiece portrait and five sepia photographic plates including one of Stonehenge. The book is prefaced by a memoir of Wordsworth.

Condition

This copy is in very good condition for age. There is one scratch to the upper board that has made a small tear to the leather and a few other minor surface abrasions. The giltwork is crisp, and the inner binding is secure. The last page of the index and the rear endpaper is foxed but the contents are in otherwise very clean condition. School prize label to the front pastedown. A lovely copy.
