First edition, first printing. Hardback in dustwrapper. 19 × 13.5cm, 254pp.

This copy is signed by William Addison to the half-title page, and also has a typed letter signed from the publisher to Addison requesting permission to put the book into Braille. The publisher is Cherry Kearton of Rich and Cowen, this is not the nature photographer but possibly his son (Edward) Cherry Kearton.

Historian William Wilkinson Addison's study of the England of Dickens and the places he frequented. London, Mr Pickwick's Kent, East Anglia, West Country, the Midlands etc etc. Illustrated with photographs.

Condition

The book is in good condition with some tanning and spotted foxing to the pages. The dustwrapper is creased to the edges and is faded to the spine but is now within a protective sleeve.
