A collection of writings on football, illustrated with photographs and cartoons. The author deals with a number of controversial subjects (offside etc) as well as reports of games and teams, football in wartime, and of notable people within the sport. There is a section on the clubs of the south—Chelsea, Brentford, Brighton, Charlton, Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Millwall, Portsmouth, QPR etc, and writings on the future of the sport.
Condition
This is a good copy. The book has clean pages but some spotted foxing to the page edges. The dustwrapper is a rare survival but is rubbed to the edges and spine and has some fading to the front.
