Officer Maurice "Nick" McDonald—multi-signed article
A copy of an article on the Dallas Police Officer who arrested Lee Harvey Oswald
This is a copy of an article from The Boston Sunday Globe's Parade Magazine, which has been signed seven times by Officer Maurice (Nick) McDonald, the Dallas police officer who arrested Lee Harvey Oswald after the assassination of President Kennedy.
It consists of 14 sheets of A4 and features an article from March 1864 entitled "The Man Who Captured Lee Oswald" by Lloyd Shearer, illustrated with photos.
It has been signed in black pen seven times by Officer McDonald: 1. To the front page "Officer M N McDonald, Captor of Oswald, 11.22.63", 2. as "Nick" M McDonald under a family photograph, 3. as Officer M N McDonald over a photograph of himself, 4. as Officer Maurice "Nick" McDonald with handwritten note—before the arrest of Lee Harvey Oswald, 1,10pm—this is signed on a page of transcript from the police radio, 5. as Officer M N McDonald over a photograph of his injuries sustained in arresting Lee Oswald, 6. as Officer M N McDonald 1178 on a copy of the arrest report, and finally 7. on a photograph of a dead Lee Harvey Oswald—"Oswald, after the autopsy! 'Its all over now'! Officer Maurice "Nick" McDonald 11–22–63".
Good condition, the pages are a bit dog-eared, and is stapled to the top left corner but Officer McDonald's signatures remain crisp and clear.
