First edition. Hardback, quarter cloth with paper covered boards. Gilt titling to spine. 22 × 14.5cm, 143pp [4].
This copy has been initialled and given by one of the contributors, Godfrey Childe. He has signed the presentation page Dearest Morps and signed Godfrey. He has also made several pencil annotations to dates in the book, such as family members birthdays (including his own) and a few editorial or biographical pencil annotations, for example, Tuesday, 1st April 1931 has "VSW [Vita Sackville West] is told that she is a poet". Godfrey Childe was a lesser-known writer from the 20s and 30s. He published one novel (Short Head in 1927) and contributed articles and essays to The Bookman etc.
A calendar interspersed with writings by the contributors, and four fine colour plates by Rex Whistler as well as headers for each chapter.
Condition
Good condition. The boards are a little grubby and bumped to the edges, and spine is a little frayed to the rear joint and faded. The contents are in good order with some tanning and scattered foxing.
