A rare early printing of Montague Ring's first published piece, Clorinda, a two-step. This is the piano score and runs to 6 pages of music, with one piece by Claude Yearsley as the final page.
Montague Ring was the pseudonym of Amanda Christina Elizabeth Aldridge (1866–1956), the daughter of opera singer Amanda Pauline von Brandt and Shakespearean actor Ira Aldridge. The wonderful cover art for this piece is by W George.
Condition
Good condition for age with some creasing to the corners and edges, and a neat previous owner's name to the very top of the front cover. The contents are good but the back cover is quite heavy marked but not affecting the score for Clorinda.
Along with the US price hikes last year, we now have domestic price rises from Royal Mail, prices shown display the current correct rates. If we can ship cheaper by courier, we will!
