First French edition of Daudet's novel of the north and south divide in France
First French edition. Hardback, rebound in half-leather by Harrison of Pall Mall, with contrasting title label and five raised bands to the spine. 18 × 11.5cm, 345pp . French text.
Daudet's novel of the north and south divide in France, with the titular character being a Provencal man.
Very good for age, the inner binding is sound but the pages are lightly foxed throughout. There is one small patch to the upper board where the marbled paper has been scuffed off but otherwise this remains an attractive copy.
