First edition. Hardback in dustwrapper. 22.5 × 14.5cm, 127pp.

This copy was owned by Charles John Klyberg who was to become the Bishop of Fulham. He has annotated the front pastedown stating that he served as a 2nd Lt, 1st Bn The Buffs in 1953/54 in Kenya. Also included is loose programme for a memorial service in 1988 in which he gives the address. There are also a few obituaries of Buffs officers pasted in.

Published in the Famous Regiments series, edited by Sir Brian Horrocks, this book tells the story of the Buffs from its formation in the sixteenth century through to the late 1960s. Illustrated with photographs.

Condition

This copy is in good plus condition. There is light surface wear and abrasions to the wrapper and a little spotted foxing to the page edges but otherwise the book is in sound condition.
