Printing Details

Undated [1948]. First edition. Hardback bound in the original green cloth silver titling to spine and silver regimental insignia to upper board. 22 × 14cm, 222pp.

An illustrated history of the London Irish Rifles during the Second World War. The book begins with a Roll of Honour that runs to seven pages, followed by the regimental history, with a brief history of formation and early action and then on to training and action in North Africa, Sicily and Italy and on to the end of the war. The book ends with a list of honours and awards.

A good copy but with some wear. The green cloth is rubbed and bumped, with a light mark to the fore-edge of the front board which has a light sheen. The contents are in strong readable condition, with some light creasing to the page corners and finger-marking to margins and edges. The book is free from inscription.

Our postage is charged at cost and is measured by the weight of the book. The recent USPS price hikes have meant our rates to the US have had to increase.
