Anne Manning's Mary Powell was first published anonymously in 1849 and is the fictional journal of Mary Powell between the years 1643 and 1646, during which time she married the poet John Milton.
Condition
A good copy. The inner binding is pulled and a little weak at the title page. The frontispiece portrait of Milton has a water stain to the bottom edge and has some foxing. Otherwise the book is in good readable condition.
