Johann Gutenberg and his Bible
A summary of Gutenberg scholarship
First edition , first printing. Hardback in dustwrapper. Page edges untrimmed. 18.5 × 12cm, 154pp.
This book is the only work in English to survey Gutenberg scholarship from the fifteenth century to the mid-1980s. It includes a detailed discussion of the 42-line Bible of 1455. Designed by Abe Lerner, and set and printed in Monotype Van Dijck by Michael & Winifred Bixler. Published as Typophile Chapbook 58.
The book is in very good condition. The wrapper is very good too but appears to have been cut short by a few millimetres.
Please note: Due to the recent price rise for final mile delivery from USPS, our postage rates to the US have had to rise. We apologise for this but have no choice.
