Printing Details

First edition. Hardback bound in full blue leather with gilt titling to spine. 22.5 × 14.5cm, 821pp.

This copy has been signed by Australian artist Montagu Marks, to Peter (son of film producer Alexander Korda). After service in the Great War with the Canadian RFC, Marks was General Manager of London Film Productions and he initiated the connection between Sir Alexander Korda and the Prudential enabling the building of Denham Film Studios in 1935. Peter Korda was the only child of Korda's first marriage to Hungarian actress, Maria Corda.

A decent collection of Kipling's poetry, this was the fourth "Inclusive Verse" which included Kipling's (then) most recent poetry.

Condition

Good plus condition. There is a small split to the leather at the front joint to the top of the spine (about 2.5cm, closed) and light rubbing to the edges. The contents are in good condition, printed on fine India paper so a little creased in places.
