The Spectator was a daily publication founded by Joseph Addison and Richard Steele in England, lasting from 1711 to 1712. This copy contains No 81 (Saturday, June 2, 1711) to No 169 (Thursday, September 13, 1711).
Good condition for age but the pages are lightly and comprehensively foxed throughout, with some edgewear. The vellum is suffers from some grubby marks and the boards are splaying a bit.
