The third Shell Guide, this one covering Derbyshire, its history, geography, natural history etc, with a two-page colour map and illustrated throughout with black and white photographs, including full page images on pink paper. The Matlock entry on page 59 stands as written but was edited by the time the 1939 Faber edition was issued. Edward Bawden advert for Shell on the last page.
Good condition. The covers are heavily creased. The contents are in good order, some light tanning but the work is complete.
