Printing Details

First edition, first printing. Hardback in dustwrapper. 24 × 16cm, 211pp.

An illustrated step-by-step guide to stripping and cleaning a gun. Detailed sequences of photographs clearly demonstrate how to strip and reassemble both a sidelock and a boxlock shotgun so the mechanism can be studied and understood. The book also includes servicing and overhauling guns and the early warning signs of serious faults. Other areas of importance are covered such as buying second-hand guns, barrel blueing, and checking for proof.

The book is in very good condition, with a neat booksellers stamp to the ffep. The dustwrapper has some minor abrasions and a little crinkling along the top edge but has not been price-clipped and is now within a protective sleeve.
