Maria Callas (1923–1977) sang on the stage of La Scala for thirteen years. She debuted in 1950 with Verdi's Aida and her farewell came in 1962 with Cherubini's Medea. In that brief, dazzling time the Greek singer forever changed the image of the diva and her rapport with audiences. Thsi book comes with a CD attached at the title page with excerpts from Maria Callas's performances at La Scala, including Norma, Tosca, Madame Butterfly, La Boheme etc.

Condition

The book and CD are in very good condition. The dustwrapper has some mild creasing to the top edge and spine ends but also remains in good order.
