The story of American missionary, Gaither Warfield, and his Polish wife, Hania, who lived in Poland from 1924. They survived, endured and witnessed the Nazi occupation of Poland. They were interned in Bavaria by the Germans and eventually released in 1942 as part of an exchange of German and American nationals. Written at the end of the war, this book covers from 1939 to June 1942.
The book itself is in very good condition but with a little tanning to the pages. The dustwrapper suffers quite heavy loss to the spine ends and corners, and has general overall wear but is now within a protective sleeve.
