Lord Berners' first volume of autobiography
First edition, first printing. Hardback, bound in blue cloth with gilt titling to spine and upper board. 20.5 × 13.5cm, 255pp.
Lord Berners was a British composer, novelist, painter and aesthete. This is his first volume of autobiography and covers his earliest years to his first four terms at "Elmley" a school in Cheam. Illustrated with photographs and a frontis by Rex Whistler.
A good reading copy. The spine and boards' edges are sun-faded but the contents are in good clean condition and remain perfectly readable. There is a little foxing to the endpapers and pages edges.
