Deadfalls and Snares
A book about trapping, but from the library of the University of London Animal Welfare Society (ULAWS) and siged by its founder.
First edition, hardback with printed titling to upper board. 17.5 × 12.5cm, 233pp + ads.
This copy has the bookplate of the University of London Animal Welfare Society (ULAWS) to the front pastedown, and the pencil signature and address of Major Charles Hume, who founded the society in 1926. It currently operates as the Universities Federation for Animal Welfare (UFAW).
A book about snare traps and other horrible devices, most of which are now hopefully illegal. The redeeming feature of the book is the provenance, coming from the Animal Welfare Society.
This copy is tatty with wear and bumping to the covers and with foxing to the endpapers. The main body of text is in good condition.
