Not signed but this was owned by Major G W Gilbertson with his library label to the front pastedown. Gilbertson was an author of books about the Balochi language spoken from Northwest Iran. There is a second bookplate to the ffep, signed by P Crawford Lindesay.
A study of the Pushtu language, or Pashto language, spoken by the Pashtans, an Eastern Iranian language in the Indo-European family. It is known in Persian literature as Afghani and in Hindustani literature as Pathani. The book is in three sections: grammar, prose composition and colloquial sentences.
A good copy but it is lacking the two fold out charts to the rear and there are many inoffensive pencil annotations to the margins. The book remains very readable.
