Printing Details

First edition, paperback in dustwrapper. 16 × 10.5cm, xxiii + 78pp

Quite a rare First World War poetry collection. Poet Arthur St John Adcock's Great War verses, published midway through the War. The poems are in three sections: 1. The Peace of the Pacifist 1913–1914; 2. The Pacifist Fights Against War 1914; and 3. The Pacifist Fights for Peace 1915. There is an introduction by the poet in which he justifies the pacifist's stance in fighting in this war to save civilisation...

A good to fair copy. The book is complete but the front hinge is weakened and there is some wear and darkening to the paper spine. The main body of text is in good order and the inner binding is secure.
