Austin Clarke's set in The Abbey of Cork in medieval times is a comedy based on the Irish satire Aislinge Mac Conglinne, in which a king with a gluttonous 'hunger demon' inside him is cured through the wit of a wandering scholar and poet.

This copy is in very good condition, bar some light fading to the cloth spine. Previous owner's nameplate to ffep.
