Sur le Ligne de Feu
A French war correspondent's notes of the Front Line in the Great War
Second edition, paperback. 19 × 12cm, 208pp. French text.
This is French novelist Arnould Galopin's campaign notebook on the front line in the Great War between 1914 and 1916, describing his encounters with Ghurkhas, Indian troops, Scottish and English soldiers, his French compatriots and Germans (mostly as POWs). The book is illustrated with black and white photographs.
Fair condition. The binding is a little weak with wear and chipping to the covers. The pages are age-toned and a little dry. The book remains perfectly readable but needs slightly delicate handling.
