The Book of Laughter and Forgetting
The first UK printing
First UK edition, first printing. Hardback in dustwrapper. 22 × 14cm, 228pp.
A novel by Milan Kundera composed of seven separate narratives united by some common themes. The book considers the nature of forgetting as it occurs in history, politics and life in general.
A good solid copy, there is spotted foxing to the page edges and some age-toning to the pages as happens with Faber books of this age. The dustwrapper is tidy but has been neatly price-clipped.
