This is the printing of the Little Oxford Dictionary which was compiled by George Ostler after demand grew for a dictionary smaller than the Pocket Oxford but still covered the wide vocabulary. The publisher's note states that George ostler served for 44 years at the Clarendon Press but died in April 1929, preventing him from seeing the final stages of his work.
A good copy. The boards are slightly splayed and there is light rubbing to the leather but this remains an attractive copy. Previous owner's neat name to ffep.
