1963 London crime classic
First edition, hardback in dustwrapper. 20 × 13cm, 192pp.
London's transportation system is experiencing a crime wave, with a ruthless gang victimising unsuspecting commuters. There are also all of the usual thefts and 'ordinary' crimes to deal with. With murders occurring on buses, any passenger unfortunate enough to be heading home after dark may be a target. Panic ensues and only one man, George Gideon, can remove the fear. This copy has a fantastic dustwrapper showing Leicester Square's neon and the tube.
A good reading copy. The wrapper is stained along the top edge and has some edgewear. The book's page's are tanned to the edges with a few small marks to the top edge but the main body of text in good order.
