Undated [1909]. First edition, hardback bound in the original decorative cloth with printed titling to spine. 19.5 × 13cm, 207pp.

A series of nature fairy tales, inspired by J M Barrie's Peter Pan, and has four full page plates and with twelve illustrated pages. Stories include Origin of Toadstools, Why the Leaves Shake, Why the Sweet Laburnum Comes First in the Spring, and Why the Hyacinth has Bells.

Condition

A good copy of a rare book. The covers are dulled a little and slightly faded to the spine. The contents are in good condition, with secure binding and just a few spots of foxing. The book is stamped to the ffep "Wood Green, Lordship Lane Infants School".
