A collection of poems from the Irish poet and sculptor, Dora Sigerson Shorter. She was a major figure of the Irish Literary Revival and a passionate campaigner for home rule. She died in 1918, and her friend Katherine Tynan wrote in a biographical sketch that she supposedly ‘died of a broken heart’ after the 1916 executions after the Easter Rising.
This copy is in very good condition, with a little fading and spotting to the cloth spine. Some pages uncut, previous owner's nameplate to ffep.
