Printing Details

First edition, card covers. 18 × 12cm, 57pp.

A rare book of Australian WW1 poetry. The author is not stated on the book but the National Library of Australia have the author as Godfrey William Warren White (1894–1930), A.D.C. to General Harry Chauvel of the Desert Column, EEF in 1917. He served at Gallipoli and in Egypt.

Condition

A scarce title but in poor condition. Whilst the text is complete, the spine and binding are falling to bits and the book needs to be handled with great care. The paper is a little brittle and heavily tanned. Occasional previous owner's annotations, including the front cover. However, I can only find copies held by national libraries and archives.
