First published in 1888, this is W B Yeats' collection of Celtic fairy and folklore tales, where the deenee shee (fairy people) work their mischief, where priests and the devil wage an endless struggle for the souls of humankind, where clever wives outwit murderous giants and druids cast geise (spells).

Condition

A good copy. There is some light damage to the spine with several spots of denting and fading, and light rubbing to the edges but otherwise, the book is in strong readable condition. There is a previous owner's nameplate to the ffep, and a few marginal annotations to the index.
