First published in 1874, this is a series of 26 folkloric tales to come from Serbia, including Satan's Juggling and God's Might, The Snake's Gift, The Golden Apple-Tree and the Nine Peahens, the Legend of St George and Papalluga; or the Golden Slipper.


A good copy. Slight marking to the spine over the titling, and bumping to the corners. Some age-toning to the pages and the rear hinge is a little weak but the book remains in strong readable condition. Previous owner's name to ffep.
