This copy was given by Archibald Campbell Tait as gift and he has inscribed the ffep (as C Tait) in April 1862. Campbell Tait became the Archbishop of Canterbury in 1868
A collection poems, readings and hymns to help relieve the sufferings of those ill. Poets include Wordsworth, Henry Vaughan, George Herbert, the Psalms etc.
Fair condition only. The leather is scuffed all over with slight loss to the spine ends. The inner biding is weak at the title page and the ffep is nearly detached. The main body of text is in better condition with secure binding and clean pages.
