Printing Details

First edition, first printing. Hardback in dustwrapper. 22.5 × 14cm, 60pp.

Signed directly to the title page by Kay Dick, who has also written a dedication on the ffep.

From the dustwrapper, "Ivy Compton-Burnett and Stevie Smith, who died recently, were writers of idiosyncratic talent who admired each other's work. Both were single, both shunned publicity; but each allowed Kay Dick to record informal conversations with her. This short book contains the record of these conversations and also Miss Dick's reflections on them. It is a first contribution to the biographies of these two remarkable women. Kay Dick, novelist and critic, was a close friend of both."

A good copy. There is light wear to the wrapper and some tanning to the pages but otherwise a good solid copy.
