Printing Details

First US edition, first printing, hardback bound in the original grey cloth with printed soldier and titling to upper board. 19 × 13cm, 302pp.

A collection of short stories. The first four tales feature the American Civil War, and most of the stories are set in America with Chambers' love of landscape prevalent. "Ambassador Extraordinary" is set in France, and the last two tales feature less distinguished reappearances of some of the characters in Paris that appeared in The King In Yellow.

A good copy. There is general overall grubbying to the cloth binding and the pages are tanned. The inner binding is sound but starting in a few places.

Please note: Due to the recent price rise from USPS, we will be putting our postage rates to USA up for which we apologise but have no choice.
