This copy comes from the library of Fleur Cowles, the American writer, artist and founder of Flair magazine, and has been signed by John Gunther, "For Fleur and Tom—always in affection and admiration—John Gunther". Tom was Fleur Cowles' fourth husband, Tom Montague Meyer. Fleur Cowles' library plate by Sotherans is also pasted in.
John Gunther's informal study of post-Stalin Russia, its accessibility, attractions, government and politics, culture, society, foreign relations, and current trends in many of these areas, and is based on the author's trips to Russia.
Condition
The book is in very good condition with a little very light mottling to the cloth boards. The dustwrapper is complete but a little rubbed and bumped to the edges and creasing to the spine. It is now within a protective sleeve.
