Four title from the Daily Express Fiction Library
All in the trademark lurid dustwrappers...
Here are four Daily Express Fiction Library novels, each in their distinctive wrappers and published between 1936 and 1940, being reprints of their earlier Readers Library which went into receivership in 1934.
The books are:
1. The Floating Prison by Gaston Leroux, a reading copy with bumping to the boards and heavy tears to the wrapper.
2. Limehouse Nights by Thomas Burke, loss to the dustwrapper's front panel along the lower edge and creased to the top.
3. Portrait of a Man with Red Hair by Hugh Walpole, a good copy.
4. Typhoon by Joseph Conrad, a good reading copy with a tear to the top of the spine.
All books are in readable condition, but with wear, at times heavy, to the wrappers.
