Full title: Health and Comfort in House Building; or, Ventilation with Warm Air by Self-Acting Suction Power; with Review of the Mode of Calculating the Draught in Hot-Air Flues; and with Some Actual Experiments.
Quite a scarce architectural engineering book on the ventilation of Victorian houses, with chapters on suction, air currents, drainage etc, and with foldout tables of technical data and six plans of houses.
A good copy, but with quite heavy wear. The brown cloth is dulled and a little rubbed. The ffep has a small triangle cut from the top corner. The inner binding is sound but finger marking and foxing to the pages throughout. It remains perfectly readable.Sold
