Signed by Clifford Bax to Mary Hope Allen (1898–2001), a pioneer of radio, journalist and BBC radio producer. The inscription finished "after The Buddha play", which was written by Bax in 1947.
A play for radio by Bax and Lion, with a preface by each author. The play is set in the late 1930s in a country house in the Chilterns. It was first broadcast in 1945.
The book is in good condition, with light tanning to the pages and a slight lean. The dustwrapper is tatty with general wear and loss to the spine ends and edges.
