The Municipal Parks, Gardens and Open Spaces of London
1905; Peckham Rye, Hackney Commons, Battersea Park, Leicester Square...
Cheap edition, hardback bound in the original green cloth with gilt titling to spine and printed title and design to upper board. 23 × 15.5cm, xx + 646pp.
A profusely illustrated book about the green spaces of London: Battersea Park, Blackheath, Clapham Common, Kennington Park, Embankment Gardens, Hackney Commons, Peckham Rye, Highbury Fields, Wapping Recreation Ground, and even Leicester Square, to name but a few.
This copy is in very good condition for age. There's a very small amount of lifting to the cloth on the front board. The inner binding is secure but sags a little due to the weight of the paper. The pages are clean, if a little age-toned.
