Artist Clare Leighton's guide to wood-engraving and cutting, the first part of the book is on the technique and tools needed and is illustrated with photographs of the artist in action. The second part is examples of woodcuts with work by Eric Gill, Gwen Raverat, Robert Gibbings, Hester Sainsbury, Eric Daglish, Blair Hughes-Stanton, Paul Nash, Agnes Miller Parker and others.

Condition

A good copy with some wear. The boards are rubbed and a little foxed. The pages have some tanning and foxing but are essentially in good order. The inner binding is pulled a little in places but secure.
