Bob Carver Starts Exploring (Signed copy)
Signed by Robert Carver North
First US edition, first printing. Hardback bound in the original blue cloth with printed titling to spine and upper board. 20 × 13.5cm, 119pp.
A card signed by Richard Carver North has been tipped in to the ffep, and reads "To the son of a friend from a son of a friend, with greetings across the sea, Robert Carver North, March 28, 1928".
Eleven year old Bob North's account of a trip taken with his Father by canoe and trail, amid snow and ice, into the unmapped wilderness of Northern Ontario. Illustrated with black and white photographs.
A good copy. There is a little marking to the upper board and the pages are lightly foxed throughout. The inner binding is a little pulled in places but on the whole, a decent copy.
