Printing Details

Small hardback, finely rebound by Ramage of London in crushed morocco, with gilt margins to boards, all edges gilt, five raised bands and gilt titling to spine, and inner gilt dentelles with marbled endpapers. 15.5 × 10cm, 214pp.

"In Memoriam A.H.H." or simply "In Memoriam" is a poem by the British poet Alfred, Lord Tennyson, completed in 1849. It is a requiem for the poet's beloved Cambridge friend Arthur Henry Hallam, who died suddenly in Vienna in 1833.

A delightful copy. There is some scattered foxing to the prelims and a previous owner's gift inscription to the ffep. The leather is very slightly faded to the spine and very lightly rubbed to the edges but otherwise all is well.
