This copy has been signed and inscribed by the author, Raymond Casas, and his family to Bob Large, an RAF pilot from the Second World War. Ronald Geoffrey Large, known as Bob, began the war in 616 squadron flying Spitfires over Northern France, before moving to 161 squadron (the moonlight squadron) flying Lysanders in and out of France delivering and picking up agents in remote fields at night. Raymond Casas was a French resistance fighter who served with the Communists in Blois.
