Covering the Munich Air Disaster and the Busby Babes
This is an original copy of the Daily Mirror newspaper for Friday, 7 February 1958.
The main story on the front page is the Munich Air Disaster of the 6th February which claimed the lives of many of the Busby Babes of Manchester United who were returning from playing Red Star Belgrade. This story is the front lead as well as on the sports pages. The rest of the paper is the world's other events (mystery sniper in Clapham, an inquiry into the Dagenham train crash, and a wealthy baronet and his mistress...).
The paper is in fair condition for age but comes with some wear and loss to the central fold, yellowing to all pages as would be expected and some creasing to the edges.
