The Woman Who Was Poor (La Femme pauvre) was first published in France in 1897. It follows a woman, Clotilde, who becomes involved with the Paris art and literary scene in the 1880s.
The book is in very good condition with clean pages and secure binding (there is a neat owner's inscription to the ffep). The dustwrapper is rubbed to all edges and heavily tanned to the spine.
