Printing Details

First edition, first printing hardback in dustwrapper. 19 × 12.5cm, 302pp.

The autobiography of a miner from Nenthead in Cumbria who taught himself to read, question and think, and went to found the Ashington Literary and Debating Society in 1898.

The book is in very good condition, with some foxing to the endpapers and a previous owner's gift inscription. The corners slightly bumped but the contents good. The dustwrapper has overall wear in the shape of light tanning and marking and is rubbed to the joints but overall, this is a good copy.
