Barbara Tuchman's history of the first 30 days of the Great War
First UK edition, first printing. Hardback in dustwrapper. 24 × 15cm, 499pp.
Barbara Tuchman's August 1914 recounts the insane, uncontrollable plunge into war and the bloody catalogue of the battles of its first thirty days.
A very good copy. The dustwrapper is slightly edgeworn and with some tanning to the spine but has not been price-clipped and is now within a protective sleeve. The pages are clean and the inner binding is secure.
