Printing Details

First UK edition, hardback bound in the original buckram with printed titling and design to spine and upper board. 19.5 × 13cm, 315pp + ads.

The last novel by Stephen Crane to be published in his lifetime. This novel is set in the Greco-Turkish War of 1897, and despite the verisimilitude of The Red Badge of Courage, this was the first action he had ever seen.

Good condition. The binding is age-toned and bumped, the inner binding secure. There is a little bleeding from the red dye of the sword design to the rear board. The pages are also a little age-toned but mostly to the edges.
